Matt Kowitt

COMMUNITY MEMBER

Matt Kowitt has lived in San Carlos since 1998. He has three adult children, all of whom attended Charter from kindergarten through eighth grade during the years 2004 to 2020. As a parent, Matt served on the school's board from 2008 through 2018, chairing the board for 7 of those years.

Professionally, Matt is currently the R&D manager at Stanford Research Systems in Sunnyvale,  where he leads the design of new electronic scientific test equipment. Previously, Matt worked in experimental astrophysics, conducting high-altitude balloon-borne experiments studying the cosmic microwave background. Matt holds a Ph.D. in Physics from UC Berkeley and an S.B in Physics from MIT.
